Claire the Dog Groomer is a professional, certified groomer who started her career in 2000. She has studied canine behaviour and training and has a background in dealing with dogs with behavioural issues. Her grooming is a custom job every time geared to meet the needs of you the dog parent and your dog.
A home-based salon with all focus on one dog at a time, your dog will be in and out if you wish. Most grooms take about 1.5hrs (a small long-haired dog). You are welcome to stay while your dog is groomed but if you decide to leave and come back you can rest assured that your dog is in good hands.
Grooming services include:
- Nail trimming (for any species - cats, birds, rodents, rabbits).
Keeps the feet and joints comfortable
Helps prevent infections in some breeds
To breed standard or short clips; custom styles to suit your needs
For a healthy coat. Expert de-matting also available.
The "correct" or "show" way to groom some breeds. Hair is stripped or plucked instead of cut to keep the texture of the coat harder.
Bums and stuff.
Hypo-allergenic shampoo and blow drying
Tartar can sometimes be removed by scaling; for willing dogs only
Two tiny sacs should empty on their own but sometimes they don't and become full. In this case they need "expressing".
To allow air circulation and prevent wax build-up and infection in some breeds.
Help with fleas, dry skin, oily coats, excessive shedding and cysts.

Prices vary according to the condition of your dog and finished length desired. Full grooming packages including most of the services above start at $50. Nail trims are included in full grooms but if a nail trim is all your dog needs it's just $10!
Unfortunately, we cannot offer bathing for large breeds at this time.
